Red face is a skin trouble that we normally experience in our daily lives. The severity of red face can range from gentle to ruthless and there are several medical troubles with red face as one of their signs. Red face can also be a bye-product of mental outbreaks. This article looks at the several events that can directly initiate red face or initiate red face as one of their signs.
Facial flushing and hot flashes are two of the most familiar reasons of red face. Facial flushing is the redness of the skin that normally disturbs the face. Hot flash has facial flushing as one of its signs. Facial flushing is associated with several events that occur in our everyday life. Events like exercise, embarrassment, blushing, anger, strain and pressure can cause mild facial flushing.
Whenever you are under unnecessary physical or mental strain as you are when involved in a difficult workout or when you become irritated, nervous or embarrassed you are liable to experience facial flushing. This is because unnecessary physical or mental strain causes the blood circulation and pressure to go up which causes your face getting reddened steadily. Once you put yourself under extreme strain, you have no decision but to accept a reddened face.
If you wish to stop reddening of face while you are being stressed-out, you have to attain a much better mental balance, which will help you to manage your emotions efficiently. Pregnancy, strong emotion, heatstroke, sunburn, sex, alcohol, fever, spicy food and monosodium glutamate (MSG).
Numerous disorders can also cause facial flushing or red face. Disorders that can get your face reddened include dehydration, rosacea, menopause, perimenopause, alcohol intolerance, diabetes, heart troubles and circulatory disorders. A sole alcoholic drink may be sufficient for some people to undergo flushing. There are several mental disorders as well that may cause blushing and they include social anxiety disorder, disorders leading to easy embarrassment, panic attack, panic disorder, lung disorders, chronic bronchitis, emphysema and certain medications like niacin and chlorpropamide.
Moving on to chronic facial redness, the feasible sources of chronic facial redness include hyperthyroidism, rosacea, alcoholism, hodgkin's disease, carcinoid tumor, carcinoid syndrome, chronic oxygen deprivation, and chronic bronchitis. Other reasons of chronic facial redness include emphysema, polycythemia vera (type of Polycythemia), cushing's syndrome, mitral valve disease, pheochromocytoma and SLE.
