Acne Breakouts -Causes and Solutions For Acne Breakouts

Bookmark and Share
For the many millions of people worldwide who suffer with bad acne, the fact that it is the most common of all skin complaints is no consolation and it is not solely a condition suffered by young people. The figures speak for themselves with a massive nine out of every ten people having the complaint at some time in their lives.

Whilst the naturally occurring oil we produce called sebum does in fact clog the hair follicles, it is not the only substance to blame for the condition of acne and neither is oily skin either. acne seems to be a condition that is not necessarily a natural one and something that past generations did not suffer with.

But the clogged pores which are the main cause of acne can also be the result of contemporary substances like cosmetics, pollution and even the hormone adjustments many young people go through. Other factors can be responsible to, like the consumption of too much junk and reprocessed food, which is high in unhealthy sugars.

Sometimes when acne is difficult to cure, a dermatologist will suggest a different type of medication which is a more acne treatment but may require more time to work. When medication is prescribed, normally the doctor involved will want to see the patient to ensure the acne is clearing according to plan and decide whether to use more extreme methods.

During this time in particular it is important to ensure that fingernails are cleaned thoroughly and regularly as they harbor dirt, germs and bacteria that can aggravate the condition.

Many believe for example that just because their fingernails appear clean, there is nothing to worry about but that's simply not true as there are many germs and bacteria, which are not visible to the naked eye. It is for this very reason that anyone who suffers with acne should not touch their acne with their bare hands.

Research has shown that if your parents had bad acne, you'll probably have it as well and very few people have perfect skin, so it is a very common skin disorder among almost every single person. The most likely scenario is that you will contact acne while you are young probably around puberty.

If necessary, acne sufferers should consult a dermatologist or qualified physician for acne treatment.
