When yellow teeth stop you from smiling or hanging out with people it is time to do something. You cannot go your whole life not looking people in the face, not laughing, or smiling. There are so many products on the market today.

To whiten your teeth , all you have to do is first take care of your teeth. Regular brushing and flossing will go a long way. If you drink coffee or smoke you need to cut back or quit all together.

They are available commercially. One of the advantages of using over-the-counter teeth whitening products is that they are cheaper than dental services and you won't be spending time with the dentist, if you have managed to avoid him for half of your life!

Teeth whitening, home remedies may be cheap because they are likely found in your kitchen but they, in the end, damage teeth. Baking soda is said to whiten teeth. So does salt. Well, they don't. All they do is take off plaque and make your teeth bright! Baking soda and salt, however, are coarse in texture and will damage gums and tooth enamel if you use too much of it. Use them once or twice a week.

What about this astounding business of using lemon juice to whiten teeth? Lemon juice is said to "work" because it helps your teeth lose calcium, thus, giving the off-white color. Well, lemon juice is acid that makes your teeth vulnerable to decay. So be warned!

If money is no problem and you would like to save on time then I would have you consider visiting a dentist- the process takes the first time with no mess. A plate is fitted into your mouth, which you will have to go back to the dentist's clinic when the plate is done. The mouth plate, which has been filled with a whitening product, will stay in your mouth for several nights to achieve the white teeth you desire.

If you are looking for a long-term solution then dental veneers are for you. They are made from porcelain, which are resilient to stain. However, you will have to undergo 4 basic steps such as diagnosis and treatment planning, preparation, etching, and placement and bonding. All done in a dental clinic.
