Coughing, shortness of breathing, and tightening of the chest are some of manifestations of an asthma attack. The bronchial tube, the passage way of the air from the nose to the lungs, tightens when it is exposed to the different triggers. The more accurate description is bronchial tube swelling. This happens when it is irritated. To protect itself from further damage, it swells as a sign for you to get out of the current situation you are in.


Much as we want to have a general list of asthma triggers, there is none. Each person's body is unique and naturally gives our body different ways on how to reach to different triggers. Some triggers may be as general as a cigarette smoke but it also may be as unique to everyone as the smell of a certain perfume. The best way to go around it is consult your doctor to determine all kinds of triggers that may work against you.

Below are some of the most common but notorious asthma triggers that people put themselves into. Stay away from all these for the sake of your health and the health of the ones you love.

Natural Pollution Pollution brought about by industrial emissions and automobile exhaust is some of the strongest causes of asthma attacks. There are so many machines and automobiles that don't pay much attention to how their emissions affect people and the environment. Fact is, even if an automobile is perfectly tuned up, it is still possible to trigger an attack. This is because some asthmatic people are so sensitive to anything emitted by machines.

Cockroach Allergen Cockroaches or bugs and their droppings, surprisingly, may trigger an asthma attack. These insects carry with them many different alien particles that can go in your bronchial tube. Keep your house clean.

Air Pollution A dirty air is an asthma bait. Keep your air clean inside your office and home by installing dust collecting systems. This will ensure that all the bad air is sucked out and kept out.
