Symptoms of heart disease in women can be hard to recognize and can be mistaken by any other symptoms of depression. This is because women are more prone to emotional problems. In addition, they are more prone to heart attacks. How do we prevent and recognize symptoms of coronary artery heart disease in women? I'll discuss it here.

Heart problem is the number one killing disease worldwide. The most common of its kind is coronary artery heart disease. It is commonly called as arterial blockage. This blockage results from the calcification of the accumulated fats in the blood and attaches itself into the arterial walls. It could cause a myocardial ischemia or the lack of oxygen in the heart muscles. Myocardial ischemia then results into Angina Pectoris, the most common symptom of arterial blockage. Prolonged myocardial ischemia sometimes progress into myocardial infarction (MI) or death of the heart tissues. MI could aggravate a heart attack or a cardiac arrest.

The primary symptoms of heart disease in women are angina, chest congestion, irregular heartbeats and strong palpitations. These symptoms can be mistaken as depression syndrome, and is sometimes taken for granted. In addition, depression syndrome could also trigger a heart attack if a woman has a heart problem. Which means either ways should still be prevented.

Angina as the most common symptom consists of 2 kinds which is the Stable Angina and Unstable Angina. Stable Angina is the called the normal angina is a dull pain in the left side of the chest which is aggravated or precipitated by activities like running, sport, strenuous exercise and carrying heavy workloads. In cases of women, stable angina an also be triggered by depression, anxiety, over excitement, and chronic stress. Stable angina is regular in rhythm and frequency. It doesn't last any longer than 20 minutes.

If angina becomes irregular in rhythm and in frequency, and has the duration of 30 minutes or more, it could indicate that the person might be suffering from Unstable Angina. It is pain, can be dull or sharp, felt in the left side and could radiate itself into the shoulders, neck up to the jaws. This pain can be triggered even at minimal activity or complete rest. If this pain shows up, it might indicate that the person might have a pending heart attack. The person must be managed by healthcare professionals immediately in order to prevent a cardiac arrest or stroke.
